Dream is Possible!

A-Friend : "Zeta mana boleh jadik Angkasawan"

*muke confused..dalam hati.."Eh, tak layak ke aku ni? Atleast for the 1st selection?" so, tanye balik..*

Eta : "Kenapa plak takleh jadik Angkasawan?"

A-Friend : "Yelah..Angkasawan untuk lelaki. Kalau pompuan..Angkasawati"

Eta : "Lerrr.."

"when u really want something so bad..u will do whatever it takes in order to get them..u can, if u put ur mind to it..visualise it..DREAM IS POSSIBLE!" (tambahan dari diri sendiri: besides that, also remember to make doa to Allah, our creator, he is the one who can give and take away whatever we have now, whenever he wants to, sesungguhnya nikmat didunia ini hanyalah sementara, yang kekal diakhirat jua)

This was the main highlight of our Angkasawan's motivational talk, Dr Sheikh Muszaphar, for OUM staffs in recent New Year assembly.

A week before, when I read the email regarding the agenda of my company's assembly..I was like.."Why him?" "Sesuai kah?" You see, I've always have this skeptical thoughts on a public figure especially if he or she has an asset of a pretty face that is likeable or adorable or hard-to-resist type. Yelah, harap muka jek comey, tapi kalau kriteria as a role model lain hancus, tak best jugak kan? Somemore, he is still new in giving motivational talk..especially to adult audience like OUM staffs..orang2 senior umurnye ni lain skit motivation die..huhu..kalau budak2 skolah mungkin excited la tgk Angkasawan kan?..so, "Why him?" popped up in my mind again.

But that perspective now have changed. Well, personally, I would say that..he is......quite handsome (haha!)..He is also very spontaneous, funny(sarcastic sometimes), quite selamba when giving his talk..creating the positive aura in the room..

He is such an inspiration too. Not just anyone can be what he become now, if no hard efforts, physically and mentally, being put to achieve this far. "No pain, no gain". Wanna know his story more? Go and read his book. It's in plain English, got few pics in some chapters, suitable enuf for the kids with English beginner level in essay writing.

There was one time that he mentioned in the Angkasawan programme, they have to attend the survival training, floating in the "spaceship" (..soyouz eh?..err whatever they call it) for 3 days in the Black Sea. The reason being is that, 3 days is the maximum time taken for the rescue team to get there if it happens that the "spaceship" landed in the sea.

I look up to him even more when he showed us a video on how he performed his prayers in the outer space. As for the prayer's time, he just followed Khazastan's prayers time(ikut timing dari mana spaceship berlepas). Kiblat mengadap bumi. He also told us that it was a bit difficult to perfrom prayers using outer space timing since a day is equivalent to 90minutes in space. Kalau solat 5kali dalam 90minit..dah tentu tak sempat plak nak buat kajian kat angkasa kan?

Dan..cuba kita renungkan sejenak..keadaan kita dibumi ini..yang stabil graviti, yang ada kemudahan, selesa, luas tempat beribadat, senang nak berwudhu, air tak terapung2, tapi kalau hati masih lagi keras pada Allah, takmau solat jugak..macammana tu? haaa.."Tepuk dada, tanya iman"

Sebenarnye nak jugak tanye pendapat dia during QnA session, pasal ada kajian Barat kat NatGeo ni. Predicting there will be another planet (Nibiru kot) will collide with Earth somewhere in 2012, ala2 ari kiamat..sebab orang yg buat kajian ni kata dulu akan berlaku dalam 2008..pehtu sesuka hati postpone ke 2012 sebab nothing happened in 2008..isk isk isk..tapi tak tertanye sebab ramai sgt orang bertanya..huhu..

It also seemed like Tan Sri and Puan Sri were really happy and inspired by Dr Sheikh that day..senyum berseri2, lebar jek masa kasik cenderahati ke Dr Sheikh..and maybe that's why, I guess lah..in the end of the event, we've all got his books for free..OUM bayakan..haha..and I managed to get Dr Sheikh's autograph too! ;)
